Demona smiled at him her face brighten laughing she nodded her head I am glad you have faith in me I do want to be the one to help you find this gift and it is a gift make no mistake there . she stood and came around the table to where he still sat and yes we will explore the market place and see what there is to offer and see if I can think of any more questions to ask you she noticed the owner give a visible sigh seeing them leaving she had to smile looking over to him she simply nodded her head in a gesture of respect for it was not a bad thing for he had people to feed and to do that animals must die she was glad that she was not the cause of this one death .then she stood waiting for Kankou to stand, as she did she noticed his smile it was brighter than before , So she smiled back at him you know this is a good thing I don’t really like sitting for too long a time. I hope you don’t really mind it helps to clear my mind to walk around and then I might be able to think of something that will keep that smile on your face for it is a beautiful smile at that . she looked around at the stalls near the food court , The market was still very busy with many people milling about and haggling over prices .She remembered the times she had came to the market with her father and how he would raise his prices to twice the amount so that when they haggled he got what he really wanted for the swords and armor he sold. As she thought of how they haggled her father it brought her back to what Kankou had said he was a mere 9 year old when this had happened. But the ash surrounding the fire was cold .

It was like the hagglers and her father he had to start at a higher price to get the amount he really wanted so too it must have taken more to keep Kankou safe from the fall than anything else so the fire had burned hotter and in doing so it died slower. There must be a memory that could pull forth a time where he felt this power .she feared it was time to talk about the fire that took his parents and home. He had said that it was a raging fire but he was not burnt in the least she feared his unconscious mind reacted to an attack or an unwanted visitor that night. And his mind had started the fire. protecting him but as she thought he loved his parents and would not do them harm so they must have been dead already. Now to bring forth this memory and see if somehow she could help him see the whole night clearer then he would see where this gift came from and how it helped him. And might help show him what really happened that night, But she was not sure if he was ready for such a strong memory Maybe she could help him with the time that he fell off the cliff to help him see it more clear and know just what had happened and in knowing he could gain control so when they did breach the time of his parents death it would not be as uncontrollable .But how to broach this was tricky she would just wander around with him and take a break from the questions let both their minds and emotions calm and find a bit of fun. It would do them both some good to let go the past for a few moments .

[Kankou]

i watched as demona smiled i was glad to see her happy and when i thought about it i was abit surprised when i thought about how quickly she went from stranger to friend i kept my eyes locked on her as she walked over to me. i stood up beside her i listened to her and my smile turned into a wide grin "yeah i don't like sitting in places for too long either it makes me nervous and clouds my mind and i than you for the compliment but i think my smile brightens when i can make yours shine" i nudged her playfully she was nicer then most people i had ever met and i wanted to always stay on her good side especially because of the fact that if i became an enemy she could unleash powers that i could probaly destroy me even if my powers were awaken. my minds thoughts shifted thinking about how my powers would be unlocked we had just passed the easy part and the horrible mental scarring parts were sure to ensue next.i looked at demona she seemed to be lost in thought i stood in front of her and poked her in the stomach "i heard elves have amazing grace and speed you're not gonna let a half elf let you trail behind him are you?" i gave her a playful smile and started walking away from the stall

Demona laughed at his playful nudge and blushed at his words she was not used to compliments from someone other than Damien. Then had to laugh again when he mentioned the herald stories of Elvin grace and speed .Well I am not at all graceful my mother always liken me more to that of an ork rather then the Elf I am . But as for speed I am sure I can best you any day . as she watched him turn and leave the food stall. Catching up to him quickly and taking the lead without even breathing hard for he had not gotten that far ahead.

so where would you like to go as I chose this place it is now you turn? We can see the clothing stalls or we can walk out among the edge of the city and see the temples some are still used and others have been vacant for years. Or we can check out some of the magi shops for what I have no ideal but it might be nice to look? laughing as she talk quickly as was her habit when she was happy and before he could speak she smiled I know what we could do how about this? we go by the one stall you said that most of your clothing have been damaged right? And this stall has some really nice clothes for really cheap prices ,but they are used like when others tire of them and buy new they either sell of give them away and I have bought many nice dresses there for cost almost nothing .

Then if you decide to do that we can take your clothes back to the inn and head for this one place I know of it was built eons ago and it is devoted to the element of fire. The faithful have long abandoned it but it might give us both some insight to your power and maybe walking around in it . Might help surface some memories of when it first happen and how it happened . As I said I am new to this magi thing and even newer to another element so it might help us both ? But I want to leave this up to you . As I am helping you I want you to feel comfortable in this ok. So it is up to you where we go I just wanted to give you some options? laughing she looked back over her shoulder I tend to talk quickly as if I am afraid I will lose the thought if I don’t say it fast blushing as her eyes shined in merriment My mother has always said it because my mind moves quicker then my mouth but I just think it is because they all sound so good I want to share them as quickly as I can . She looked over at him and slowed her gait so that she was walking beside him now so she could see what he thought of her idea and if he thought her just plain crazy.

Kankou struggled a bit, attempting to listen to all Demona had to say, though a good part of her small speech was unheard and easily forgotten. "Well, I understand. Everyone tends to talk fast when a lot is flowing through their minds. It's like an outlet for ideas that you just have to get out. Anyway back on the matter of our next location. I'm not much for clothes shopping, as you can see by my poor choice in clothing that I have been wearing for quite awhile now. So I'd be glad to visit this place to learn more about my supposed element. I mean it gives me a chance to further in my development in unlocking this gift you so strongly see in me, plus it will undoubtedly help you through any rough times in the case you have to do something concerning this element." Kankou, not wanting to be left behind, quickened his pace a step,as if in a walking race with this elf standing before him. "Anyway, if you do not mind me asking, what is this place you know about that revolves around the fire element? Is it a shrine or temple or merely a place that is talked about in lore that is now considered sacred to fire users and worshipers everywhere? I would also like to state and hopefully for the last time, that knew or not I want you to help me with this. Had anyone else tried to fill my head with this nonsense I would have long since ignored them and mentally noted them down as someone who belonged in an asylum, as for you, well you made me believe though with some hardships, but you made me believe nonetheless. Besides, I have grown used to your company over the short few days we've seen each other." He didn't know why, but after saying his last sentence and staring at the beautiful elf, he found himself embarrassed and kept his head to the ground, hoping she didn't notice. Kankou noticed the amulet on his neck glowed a different shade of red than its usual fiery color, as if anger wasn't the only thing it showed. He noted that down inside his head and told himself to remember to bring that up later.

Demona smiled as he voted for the temples around the city. She blushed as well he noted that he wanted her help not minding at all that she too was new to the craft of a mage.
Laughing at him saying he had gown used to her company over the days since meeting.Saying he would not would have as easily believed another telling him What she had observed of his gift and the possibilties of his element. " So the crazy Elf you know rather than the one you don't know is it. That is ok I was as disbelieving at first when Angele spoke of what might be my gift and offering her help in finding a way to unlock them. So I can understand your feelings there. " seeing him blush and lowering his eyes to the ground she gaze once again fell to the amulet around his neck not wanting him to wonder about her interest in it. She noticed that it did in fact glow again as it did in the food stall. But not as brightly it seemed as if all his emotions and not just the anger as he mentioned before that he had a hard time controlling it. this would give him a controlling factor in channeling his powers. seeing now that it was effected by most of his emotions.

Demona started walking towards the center of the market place heading to the outskirts where she had seen the Temples and where Angele had found her with a hurt ankle.
trying not to walk to quickly as with the crowds they could get separated easily. and she was thinking of what to tell him about the Temples she had saw and what she had learned after retuning to her home in Blainswithe Forest. Her mother being a mage had heard the stories of these temples and she was eager to tell Demona in the hopes of instilling some caution in her at times wild daughter to think before,she visited there again .

" Now as for the Temples." Demona paused for a moment as a younger couple made their way towards the food stall where Demona and Kankou had recently left. Smiling to Kankou she added where she had left off " They are some that are actual buildings where many ceremonies have been held and then some were used in the early days of Maia for sacrifices. to the diffent Gods. but I remember my mother had told me that the practice of sacrifices were almost all gone now. though they still come together in some to still give thanks and to worship as each belief demands. The one I was hoping to find there.Is a alter of sorts that was used by those that worshiped an Element more than A God. The element of fire. so I feel it would be a perfect place to try to summon the element and with it your memories that might be linked to it"

Demona had kept her voice lower than was normal not wanting to draw attention to them as they slowly made their way to the outskirts of the city. passing by the many shops all were a light brown clay style. The only thing that seprated the different shops was the signs and ardornments that the owners had displayed on the outcroppings and windows to show the wares and with hand made wooden slates to tell of sales to entice the wandering crowd in. The streets were still busy as it was just becoming midday. and the some of the owners were busy trying to sweep the dust that blew in from the dry streets as rain was scarce.since the dust formed so thick over Maia.

Demona watched carefully to make sure they was not followed as this was also a place where those who seek a easy mark to rob. As they left the sounds of the city itself the quiet woods. began to sooth Demona's spirit reminding her of her home in the forest. as they walked the animals seemed to come alive calling to another . Demona turned her head to smile at Kankou. "just there at that fallen tree Angele found me with a hurt ankle thanks to her being able to heal it so we could return safetly to Crestfall .and that Temple you see just around that bend she pointed to a tall grey stone building with many strange statues covered with green mold showing it has not been used in many years it is one of those I spoke of that seems to be forgotten but it is not the one I am seeking. she watched Kanko face to judge his reaction to the area what do you think of this idea . of finding this Alter of fire?" she waited to hear his thoughts not taking her eyes off his face hoping this would help him feel more confident as they as would be away from others that could be hurt if she was able to help him find the link and the control to release the gift with out the fire that could destroy much of the woods..
